1. Introduction
Welcome to TheCoder Code (code.thecoder.in), an interactive coding practice platform operated by TheCoder. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and handle your data when you access or use our services.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you register an account, we may collect your email address, full name, and authentication tokens via our secure authentication provider (Supabase).
- Code Submissions: Code you write and submit for execution against test cases is transmitted to our execution judge engine to return runtime statistics, memory usage, and test results.
- Local Storage Drafts: To ensure you don't lose progress while typing code without an account, your current code editor buffer is stored locally in your browser's
localStorage. This data never leaves your device until you submit it.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the coding practice environment;
- Authenticate your identity and save your solved problem history;
- Run test-case verification and calculate runtime performance percentiles;
- Prevent abuse, denial-of-service, and fraudulent usage of our execution infrastructure.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We partner with reputable infrastructure providers to deliver our platform:
- Supabase: Cloud database, authentication, and user access management.
- Judge0 & AWS Lambda: Isolated code execution container sandboxes.
- Vercel: Hosting and edge routing infrastructure.
6. Security of Your Data
We implement industry-standard administrative and technical safeguards to secure your personal data. Code submitted to our execution engine runs in ephemeral, locked-down virtual environments with strict memory and process limits.
